Black Head Bazaar

Black Head Bazaar is known as the best market in the Manning. It is held on the 1st Sunday of each month from September to May in Wylie Breckenridge Park at Black Head.

This market has an extensive variety of stalls selling fresh farm picked fruit and vegetables, handmade clothing and jewellery, homemade cakes, slices and biscuits. Food and wonderful fresh roasted coffee are available.

The Black Head Bazaar is a community market organised and operated by Hallidays Point Landcare Group.

Cattai Wetlands

Just off the Pacific Highway at Spring Hill Road lives the award-winning Cattai Wetlands, a beautiful coastal wetland and hidden gem of the Manning Valley.

Cattai Wetlands provide a sanctuary for over 180 species of birds, kangaroos, wallabies and regularly spotted goannas. Make your way along one of the many walking tracks, go bird watching, take a picnic or just relax and enjoy the scenery.

Crowdy Bay National Park

Crowdy Bay National Park (9,519 hectares) has long been admired for its rugged coastline cliffs, rockpools, beaches and forests, which are a haven for wildlife. At low tide, you can explore the rock formations and pools along the cliff-base walk.

There is great fishing, plenty of opportunities for swimming, surfing and water activities and it is a particularly fruitful area for bird watching.

The park’s main topographical feature and highest point is Diamond Head, which rises abruptly to 113 metres. It takes its name from the quartz crystals that are found in the area.

Ellenborough Falls

From Wingham follow the Tourist Drive 8 signs to the legendary Ellenborough Falls at Elands.

At 200 metres, Ellenborough Falls is one of the longest single drop waterfalls in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the Manning Valley’s biggest natural attractions. If you’re coming to the area, visiting this natural beauty is a must-do!

Fishing

The Manning Valley is a fisherman’s paradise, with a place to drop a line or experience adventure fishing around every corner.

Fish our numerous, pristine freshwater streams for Australian Bass (perch) or our estuaries for quality flathead, bream and whiting.

Land based game fishermen, who love the thrill of the chase are invited to take advantage of our uncrowded beaches and headlands. Or those who prefer to pursue the big blue water species such as snapper, jewfish or marlin, we have numerous boat launching facilities throughout the region.

Manning Entertainment Centre

The Manning Entertainment Centre presents the best performing arts and entertainment on the Mid North Coast. Manning Regional Art Gallery

Mountain biking is fast becoming one of the most popular activities in the Manning Valley as our National Parks and State Forests are perfect for this type of adventure.

Nabiac Farmers Market

Nabiac Farmers Market is held on the last Saturday of each month except December. This farmers market is the largest local produce market in the Manning Valley. Here you can stock up on seedlings for your vegetable patch and meet your local growers and producers who make such a variety of gourmet goodies available for you. Taste the organic coffee, new gluten free bakery with freshly baked biscuits and cakes, honey, goats milk beauty products, sourdough bread. Wingham Brush Nature Reserve

Wingham Brush

For a nature reserve with a difference, head to Wingham Brush, located in the historical river town of Wingham.

This subtropical rainforest remnant is part of the last remaining 10 hectares of floodplain rainforest in NSW. It showcases giant Moreton Bay figs towering over a gently winding boardwalk, and is one of the largest permanent breeding populations of the endangered grey-headed flying fox.

If you get to the Brush on sunset, the sight of thousands of flying foxes heading out for the evening meal is just amazing.

Crowdy Bay Charters operates off shore fishing charters from the Crowdy Head Boat Harbour which is located next door to the very popular Crowdy Head Beach on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales.
