Manning Entertainment Centre

The Manning Entertainment Centre presents the best performing arts and entertainment on the Mid North Coast. We offer first class facilities for the performing arts, from school productions and amateur theatre to artists of national and international acclaim. The Manning Entertainment Centre is a 505 seat theatre in Taree, New South Wales and serves the residents of the Manning Valley, Great Lakes, Gloucester and Camden Haven regions.

Manning Regional Art Gallery

The Manning Regional Art Gallery provides a range of cultural and artistic experiences to residents of the Manning Valley and visitors to the area. Tinonee Museum

A visit to Tinonee is not complete without a trip to the Tinonee Museum located in Manchester Street, where you will find the town’s original ‘lock-up’ on display.

In the years when the rivers were the roads, Tinonee was the heart of the Manning River where majestic sailing ships were an everyday sight as Tinonee buzzed with commerce and industry. Around 1860-70 Tinonee had five hotels, a post office, flour mill, sugar mills, sawmills, three churches, blacksmith shop, broom factory, bakery, newspaper, office, hospital, school, bacon factory, brick kiln, butchery, bank and of course, Captain Gollan’s shipyard. Manning Valley Libraries

Manning Valley Libraries includes five libraries across the Manning Valley at Taree, Wingham, Hallidays Point, Harrington and Old Bar. Our libraries are the ‘community lounge room’ – so when you visit one of our libraries you can browse for a book or DVD, lounge around in our comfy chairs and read a magazine or use the wi-fi or a computer. You can enjoy a wide range of regular and school holiday events and workshops. We have an extensive local history and family history archive of documents, images and printed resources – so why not look up an ancestor while you are visiting. We also have ‘print from anywhere’ facilities where you can print from your PC or mobile device to a library printer. Our libraries are open weekdays from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. Taree Library is open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturdays.
